Land Trust
Since 1965, Open Space STL has helped preserve over 10,000 acres of public and private land.
Established in 1965, we are a nonprofit Land Trust that was created to identify areas that can be acquired for conservation, and to raise an provide funds for new open space projects. We continue our Land Trust efforts to protect more land, waterways and wildlife habitat and responsibility limit development from taking place on our region’s land to protect its value as a natural area or open space, now and in the future.
This work is important to maintain the character of our communities, our quality of life, and to the future of our region.
We are dedicated to working closely with private landowners to protect their property and bring their conservation vision to life by partnering on land protection easements. If you’re considering donating a land protection easement on your property, we’re here to guide you every step of the way!
