Join us for canoeing and refreshments after dark at Simpson Park!

Paddle After Dark In Memory of Wayne Goode to Support Operation Clean Stream!

Join us for a special fundraising event at Simpson County Park to support the conservation efforts of the Open Space Council.

Enjoy a rare opportunity to paddle on Simpson Lake after dark! Your ticket includes:

    • 2 beers provided by 4 Hands Brewing Co (or non-alcoholic beverages)
    • 1 make-your-own S’mores packet
    • 2 soft Gus’ pretzel sticks
    • 1 hour canoe rental (all equipment provided), or lake access depending on ticket type
    • 1 tree to be planted by the Open Space Council

All ticket sales benefit Operation Clean Stream, our annual river cleanup and restoration event in the Meramec Watershed.

Paddle After Dark

When: Friday, July 16th from 7:00 to 10:00 pm – THIS EVENT DATE  IS POSTPONED DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER.

If you have purchased tickets for the 16th please check your email for a reschedule request from our team.

Friday, July 30th from 7:00 to 10:00 pm

Where: Simpson County Park at 1234 Marshall Road, Saint Louis, MO 63088.

Tickets: Tickets may be purchased for the Early-Bird price of $35/person if your choose to BYOB (Bring your own boat) or $45/person to reserve a canoe or kayak. After July 1st, the price increases to$40/person for BYOB and $50/person to reserve a canoe or kayak. Attendance passes can also be purchased for $25 that do not include boat rental or water access. The Ticket price does not include the service fee if purchased online. You may also purchase your tickets by mailing a check to The Open Space Council, Attn: Paddle After Dark, P.O. Box 220011, St. Louis, MO 63122. Please include the names of the attendees.

What to bring: Dress for the weather, and please bring your own lawn chair to sit by the bonfires, and a flashlight or headlamp is encouraged while out on the water.

You can sponsor additional trees to be planted by the Open Space Council for an extra $10 per tree.
