Welcome to the OSC New Board Members!

We are glad to welcome our new board members!

Elizabeth Simons, Joe Brinkmann, Becky McMahon, and Jay Hoskins bring diverse experiences and new ideas to our board.  We look forward to working with them to continue the Open Space Council’s work in water and land conservation. Below is a brief description of each of our new board members:

Joe Brinkmann

Joe Brinkmann is an architect with Trivers Associates and holds memberships in the American Institute of Architects, the US Green Building Council and Focus St. Louis. He is interested in serving on the OSC Board because he has been a volunteer with Operation Clean Stream since the mid 80’s. He loves the river and wants to help preserve this important resource.

Becky McMahon

Becky is a project ecologist at DJM Ecological Services and holds a Bachelor of Science in Conservation Biology. She is interested in serving on the OSC Board because she strongly supports the mission of working collaboratively to conserve our land. She would like to be a part of the effort to protect and conserve our natural areas for future generations.

Elizabeth Simons

Elizabeth Simons is an Assistant Project Manager with Great Rivers Greenway and currently serves on the Live Well Ferguson events board and Americorps St. Louis Junior board. She also holds membership in the St. Louis Chapter of the American Planning Association and serves on the East West Gateway Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee. She desires to serve on the OSC Board because she is interested in preserving and maintaining the region’s outdoor recreation resources for generations to come.

Jay Hoskins

Jay Hoskins is a Program Manager (Engineer) with MSD and previously served on the City of Eureka Parks and Recreation board. He is also an adjunct instructor in the SLU Civil Engineering program. He is interested in serving on the OSC Board because he cares about water resources issues and has demonstrated that he can lead and build consensus around common solutions.
