Upcoming Honeysuckle Hack at Belleview Farm Park

We had a great turnout at our Holiday Hack in December, so the Open Space Council STL and Friends of Belleview are teaming up again. We want to invite you to our back out for another Honeysuckle Hack at Belleview Farm Park,
This 100-acre park was donated to St. Louis County Parks by environmentalist Harold Donnelly, a founding board member of the Open Space Council, to carry on the mission and legacy of both Donelly and OSC by preserving open space for public use, nature and wildlife. This park is a work in progress with panoramic views of the Meramec River Valley, 5 acres of prairie restoration and 20 acres of woodland restoration in process, two springs, and a vernal pond. Friends of Belleview has partnered with the City of Wildwood to restore the park and open it to the public.

Volunteers will be treated to an educational introduction of the park with one of Friends of Belleview’s Master Naturalists, followed by our workday. There is no running water or electricity. Bring water and dress in layers. Tools and gloves will be provided, but please bring your own if you have them. There is a porta-potty on site.

Snacks and refreshments will be provided. All volunteers will be asked to sign waivers from the City of Wildwood and Friends of Belleview.
