"Every State Should Have a Leo Drey" -Audubon

Commemorating Leo Drey

It is with great condolences that we announce the passing of Leo Drey, who died peacefully in his home in UCity on May 26, 2015. His efforts were instrumental in the founding and support of The Open Space Council along with many other environmental organizations.

Known for his love of all things outdoors, he devoted his life to the restoration and conservation in the Ozarks, St Louis, and the state of Missouri. His legacy will continue through the organizations he helped/created, the projects he lovingly tended to, and most of all through the people he touched with his bottomless enthusiasm.
