Who is the Wildlife Rescue Center?

The Wildlife Rescue Center rehabilitates injured, sick and orphaned native wildlife and releases healthy animals to their natural habitat. Through educational outreach the Center provides environmental awareness, promotes a harmonious relationship with native wildlife, and encourages the community to protect our delicate ecosystems. Since its humble beginning in 1979, WRC has treated more than 30,000 native wild patients. Today, over 2,000 patients each year are treated in our 9,000 square-foot facility and expansive outdoor enclosures. Learn more here!

How does trash impact wildlife?

Many of the Wildlife Rescue Center’s patients are animals that have had run-ins with litter left behind by humans. You can do your part by always disposing of your litter properly, participating in Operation Clean Stream to remove trash from local waterways, and by replacing disposable items (like snack bags, straws, plastic utensils, paper coffee cups) with reusable ones to cut down on waste.
