Operation Wild Lands Honeysuckle Hack at Forest River Trail Park- April 22nd

Operation Wild Lands Honeysuckle Hack at Forest River Trail Park- April 22nd

We need your help to restore the new, and not yet open to the public, Nancy Eschbach Forest River Trail Park on Saturday, April 22nd from 9am-12noon.  Interested volunteers can register to attend on our Eventbrite page.

Volunteers will remove invasive bush honeysuckle and perform trail maintenance in this conservation area with bluff overlooks along the Meramec River in Sunset Hills, MO. Your assistance will help improve water quality, enhance wildlife habitat, and create a healthier environment for all.

Volunteers will meet at the Highway 30 East Commuter Lot and carpool to the worksite. The commuter lot is located at the intersection of Interstate 270 and Route 30 East (Gravois Rd).

We will provide necessary tools, gloves, snacks, and water for this event.  Please wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather. Ages 15+ are invited to join us; youth under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. As a thank you, all Operation Wild Lands volunteers will receive a gift card for a free burrito generously donated by our friends at Chipotle!

This event is sponsored by The Open Space Council in partnership with the City of Sunset Hills and Boeing. Learn more at www.openspaceSTL.org, www.sunset-hills.com and www.boeing.com.
