Community Stewardship Alliance Pilot Program is thriving.
Through a collaborative partnership led by the Open Space Council, the Community Stewardship Alliance (CSA) is an exciting new conservation program intended to provide focused, trained, volunteer leadership to restore and maintain the natural areas within our St. Louis County Parks.
This year our volunteers and partners have been hard at work making this dream a reality. This pilot program has helped restore native habitats in St. Vincent, Creve Coeur Lake, and Lower Meramec Parks. Through invasive species removal, tree planting, and pollinator garden maintenance, our Ambassadors and volunteer teams are making a difference. In addition, thanks to a grant from Extreme Terrain’s Clean Trail Initiative Program, we were able to add signage to these locations to raise awareness and help trail users identify project areas.
