OSC Welcomes AmeriCorps Member Emily Girschick!

In December 2022, we welcomed AmeriCorps Member Emily Girschick to the Open Space Council team! 

She will be doing a year of service to help our organization expand its conservation efforts in the St. Louis region through programmatic development, community outreach, and much more. 

Emily recently moved to the St. Louis region from Fort Collins, Colorado after graduating from Colorado State University with a B.A. in Political Science. Having always been interested in conservation, Emily is elated to be serving with OSC. She loves kayaking and is excited to try “floating” on one of Missouri’s many rivers.

AmeriCorps members serve with organizations dedicated to improving their local communities. 

“Stream Teams United is currently sponsoring an AmeriCorps project, with the goal of expanding water education programs to benefit low-income youth and their communities” (Stream Teams United). 

OSC is grateful for our partnership with AmeriCorps and Stream Teams United.
