Fall Operation Wild Lands Events

The Open Space Council is excited to begin a new season of Operation Wild Lands- our program dedicated to the restoration of natural woodlands and open spaces in the St. Louis region.

Volunteers are needed for our newest OWLs project at Forest River Trail Park in Sunset Hills on the following dates:

October 4th – 9:30am-1:00pm Trail-building Work Day

October 5th – 10:30am-3:45pm Trail-building & Invasive Removal Work Day (event now full)

October 14th – 9:00am-12:00pm Trail-building Work Day (event now full)

October 28th – 10:30am-3:00pm Invasive Honeysuckle Removal Work Day

We are calling for volunteers who are available on any of the above dates to come join the fun and pitch in to help build a trail in the park and clear invasive honeysuckle. As always, we expect to have fun, get some exercise and- knowing St. Louis weather- a good amount of sun!

If you wish to join us on either of the dates still available, just click on the links above to register! Many thanks from the Open Space Council team.

Special thanks to the City of Sunset Hills and our Sponsors. Trail-building supported by REI, Inc. and invasive removal supported by the St. Louis Audubon Society Cathleen Creley Memorial Conservation Fund.

Volunteers help remove invasive honeysuckle during our Spring 2017 OWLs event.
